Steward's Report
The start was delayed by approximately one minute due to Sky channel galloping commitments.
Montie Bale was slow to begin.
Edinburgh Bale turned its head outwards on the home turn and collided with Long Reef.
Edinburgh Bale underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. Jordan Bryce regarding Edinburgh Bale’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Edinburgh Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Bryce pleaded guilty to the charge. Edinburgh Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Jecharis Bale the winner of the event.
