Steward's Report
Knight Cuddle was quick to begin.
A post–race sample was taken from Utrillo Bale – the winner of the event.
Dundee Coco underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.. Stewards spoke to Mr. Geoffrey Scott-Smith regarding the greyhound pulling up prior to the return gate and failing to enter the catching pen. Stewards noted that Dundee Coco had failed to enter the catching pen at Warragul on 14/12/2023 and was issued with a warning on that occasion. Acting in accordance with GAR 129, and being mindful of the safety of Dundee Coco, other greyhounds in the race, staff, and participants, Stewards were not satisfied with the performance. Dundee Coco was placed on a Satisfactory Trial under GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, with the condition that the greyhound must run past the return gate in order to clear the Satisfactory Trial, before any further nominations are accepted.
