Steward's Report
All On Merrett – New declared weight of 36.1kg, last raced at 34.1kg.
Aileen's Lad, All On Merrett and Lektra Sam were slow to begin.
All On Merrett underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered a seizure. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under the provisions of GAR 42, All On Merrett is prohibited from competing in an event until such time as both a veterinary clearance is provided to the satisfaction of Stewards and a Satisfactory Trial is completed pursuant to GAR 132. Further, under the provisions of GAR 42(3), All On Merrett is suspended from racing for 28 days at all tracks.
Kraken Rock (turned head outwards soon after the start) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Representative Mr K.Eyles regarding Kraken Rock's racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Kraken Rock was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Eyles pleaded [guilty / not guilty] to the charge. Kraken Rock was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
