Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 75(6), Kennel Attendant Mr D.Elliot did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event.
A pre race sample was taken from Howfen Bug.
Howfen Bug (turned head outwards and marred Khan Craig approaching the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a toe injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr B.Merton regarding Howfen Bug’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Howfen Bug was charged with marring. Mr Merton pleaded guilty to the charge. Howfen Bug was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
