Steward's Report
Ulara Bale – Late scratching at 6:20pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to elevated temperature. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Sweet Begonia.
Kraken Roll was quick to begin. Aston Cavill was slow to begin.
Flying Scotch (visibly eased approaching the winning post), underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. D. Sharp regarding Flying Scotch’s performance and racing manners approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr. Sharp, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Flying Scotch unsatisfactory. Flying Scotch must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Due to technical issues with the semaphore board, the wrong race number (race 2) was displayed.
