Steward's Report
In accordance with Sky Racing this event was rescheduled to 5.12pm - originally scheduled for 5.09pm.
Hillbilly Nova – New declared weight of 36.6kg, last raced at [old weight 34.7kg.
Hillbilly King – Late scratching at 1.28pm under GAR 92(4) on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian after being found to be infested with fleas. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance stating the condition no longer exists before any future nominations will be accepted.
Nellie Zoom was quick to begin. Hillbilly Nova was slow to begin.
Hillbilly Nova - checked and lost ground first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 12. Hillbilly Nova was found to have a right satorious muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to representative Ms J Wilson regarding Hillbilly Nova’s overall performance - non competitive throughout. After hearing submissions from Ms J Wilson, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Hillbilly Nova unsatisfactory. Hillbilly Nova must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
