Krisa Bale was a late scratching at 6:50pm by order of stewards. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards opened an inquiry into the circumstances pertaining to the late scratching after the attendant Mr T. Butt advised stewards that the greyhound was ill en route to the track. After taking evidence from licensed persons - Mr. T Butt, Mr R. Drake and Mr. T. Dailly (via phone), stewards adjourned the inquiry to a date to be fixed. Five Paws and Max A Zillion were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Max A Zillion. Brenna Bale and Lektra Ottens collided on the first turn. Dyna Cari checked off Five Paws on the second turn. David Bale checked off Brenna Bale on the third turn. Max A Zillion crossed to the rail in the home straight. Dyna Iceman was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following race 11, it was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to it's right quadricepts. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
