Steward's Report
Venice Bale was slow to begin.
Delinquent underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Michael Bewley regarding Delinquent’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Delinquent was charged with marring. Michael Bewley pleaded guilty to the charge. Delinquent was suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
