Steward's Report
Chain Drive was quick to begin. Matchett Bale was very slow to begin (3L).
Matchett Bale (lost ground in the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. R. Coleman in regards to the greyhound's performance in the home straight. Mr. Coleman explained that the greyhound was displaying signs of cramp in the catching pen and, upon viewing the greyhound's change of action and loss of ground in the home straight, Mr Coleman was of the opinion that the greyhound had cramped in running. Stewards agreed with Mr. Coleman's observations and acting in accordance with GAR 130, Matchett Bale was ordered to perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 130, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
