Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Snake Ivy.
Natural Action was slow to begin.
La La Nebraska (escaped the catching pen) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Hacker (faltered in running) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 10. Hacker was found to have a right fibula injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Representative Mr P.Martinovic regarding Hacker’s performance and racing manners overall in the event. After hearing submissions from Mr Martinovic, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Hacker unsatisfactory. Hacker must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Club Officials will be reminded of their responsibilities after a greyhound escaped the catching pen. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration and remediation.
