Bundy Baz – New declared weight of 33.1kg, last raced at 31.7kg.
Eagles Fly Alone was quick to begin. Xavion Bale and Bobby were slow to begin.
Redbud Lake turned its head outwards entering the home straight and again in the home straight. Redbud Lake underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Kennel Representative Mr. Tim Britton declined the option to have the greyhound re–examined. Stewards spoke to Mr. Britton regarding Redbud Lake's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Redbud Lake was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Britton pleaded not guilty to the charge. Redbud Lake was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
