Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Zelda Faros upon arrival at the course.
A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Finlay.
Latham Bale was quick to begin. Our Last Summer was slow to begin.
Latham Bale (turned it's head outwards in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to a right hind toe . A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Nathan Hunt regarding Latham Bale’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Latham Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Hunt reserved his plea to the charge. Latham Bale was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
