House Of Turbo and Enzo Envy were quick to begin.
Ben Tango raced wide in the back straight.
Heart Beats Rico (marred House Of Turbo approaching the winning post), a post-race veterinary examination revealed a right pencil injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Luckie Karabitsakos regarding the racing manners of Heart Beats Rico. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Heart Beats Rico was charged with marring. Mr. Karabitsakos pleaded not guilty to the charge. Heart Beats Rico was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Heart Beats Rico - winner of the event.
