Dancing Mick and Riverdale Clyde were quick to begin. Fruitful Vine was slow to begin.
Bundy Paradise (marred Have A Lash) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. Michael Cullen regarding Bundy Paradise’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Bundy Paradise was charged with marring. Mr. Cullen pleaded guilty to the charge. Bundy Paradise was suspended for 28 days at Geelong only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
