Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Little Ollie Mac.
Little Ollie Mac was slow to begin.
Bourne Rose collided heavily with Striking Holly on the first turn and fell, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right radius and ulna. Bourne Rose was humanely euthanased.
Striking Holly collided heavily with Bourne Rose on the first turn and fell, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a soreness in both forelegs. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Little Ollie Mac - faltered and tailed off on the home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a dislocated or possibly fractured right hock. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Following to the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track in the vicinity of the home turn and found it suitable for racing. The satisfactory trials proceeded as scheduled.
