Steward's Report
Stylish Blazer and Rooney Bale were slow to begin.
Sweet Chevelle turned it's head inwards soon after the start, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 3. Sweet Chevelle was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Paul Hammerstein regarding Sweet Chevelle’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Sweet Chevelle was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Hammerstein pleaded not guilty to the charge. Sweet Chevelle was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
