Asperitas was quick to begin.
Aintree Rambler (fell soon after the start) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right front leg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Just Time (marred Aintree Rambler soon after the start) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr G.Judd regarding Just Time’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Just Time was charged with marring. Mr Judd pleaded not guilty to the charge. Just Time was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
