Intercept Queen was quick to begin. Galveston was slow to begin.
Aileen's Lad (severely checked on the first turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have sand toe to the right front and right hind foot. No stand down period was imposed.
Kraken Demon (severely checked on the first turn and fell), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have minor abrasions to the right fore toes and left hock. No stand down period was imposed.
