A post -race sample was taken from Aston Turbo the winner of the event.
He's Classified ( turned its head inwards in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left monkey muscle and right trapezius muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to representative Mr C Smith regarding He's Classified’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, He's Classified was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Smith pleaded guilty to the charge. He's Classified was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted. any future nomination will be accepted.
