Blow The Whistle (following an incident in the catching pen) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a carpal fracture. Blow The Whistle was humanely euthanised.
Cashton Bale (lost ground on the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tarsal fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Rachael's Tears - the winner of the event.
