A pre-race sample was taken from Early Boy.
Shine On Lily was quick to begin.
Following the event Aston Rosa displayed mild signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS). As a result, the greyhound underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria. A 0 day stand down penalty was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms Kerry Houlahan, the trainer of Aston Rosa and advised her that the greyhound would be closely monitored in future starts.
There was no head-on vision avaliable in the back straight for this event.
