Bonnieville Icon – Late scratching at 5:12am when Mr. Dainel Hoch reported the greyhound to have a pad injury (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

Pacific Lily was quick to begin. Snow Renaissance was slow to begin.

Uninhabited Man was slow to begin.

Wally Wagtail turned his head inwards and visibly eased following the 150m, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the left foreleg - no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Gary Edwards regarding the greyhound's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Wally Wagtail was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Edwards pleaded guilty to the charge and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Hany collided with Wally Wagtail following the 150m, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. John Lowndes regarding the racing manners of Hany following the 150m mark. After hearing submissions from Mr. Lowndes, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.

A pre-race sample was taken from Ha Hanna.

Racing was delayed by approximately ten minutes due to remedial works being undertaken on the track surface. Track maintenance staff rectified the issue and Stewards declared the track satisfactory for racing; as a result this event was rescheduled to 11.33am. 

Miss Daicos, Lyla Bear and Elsie Dreaming were quick to begin.

Two Reasons – Late scratching at 9:54am due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Joe Uglietta was fined $100.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately one minute following the delay in race 3.

Blame Spencer and Amber Highlights were quick to begin.

Crackerjack Maxy was quick to begin. Starter's King was slow to begin.

Crackerjack Maxy raced wide throughout the event.

Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Darren Petersen regarding the racing manners of Crackerjack Maxy approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr Petersen, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

Mr Paul Ellul failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Brother Yap for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 97(2).

Racing was delayed by approximately five minutes due to remedial works being undertaken on the track surface. Track maintenance staff rectified the issue and Stewards declared the track satisfactory for racing; as a result this event was rescheduled to 12.27pm. 

Superior Darcy was slow to begin.

Grant's Treasure – New declared weight 35.6kg, last raced at 34.2kg.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately one minute following the delay in race 6. The event was rescheduled to 12.43pm. 

Golden Coast was quick to begin. Waterloo Boy was slow to begin.

Marcus Moloney faltered at the 300m mark and subsequently tailed off. Underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track around the 300m and deemed it satisfactory for racing.

A pre-race sample was taken from Sapphire Speed. 

Black Power was quick to begin. Jachar was slow to begin.

Sweet Alessia was quick to begin. Zipping Bryce was slow to begin. 

Dunbro Bertie, Zipping Bryce and Pacific Surf raced wide throughout.  

Ziggy Boy was slow to begin.

Ziggy Boy raced awkwardly and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Super Sparkle – New declared weight 27.7kg, last raced at 26.2kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Beware Bob.

Skip's Turn raced wide throughout. Sons Of Tom raced wide following the 100m mark. 

Inter Titan – New declared weight 31.3kg, last raced at 30.1kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Sonic Shockwave.

The start of this event was aborted and deemed a false start due to Scuba Steve (4) proving difficult to box and escaping the handler. All greyhounds were removed from the starting boxes, underwent an examination by the OnTrack Veterinarian, and subsequently passed fit to race in accordance with GAR 110(7). The race was delayed by approximately twelve minutes whilst this occurred. The race commenced at 2.39pm.

Ramadi Bale lost groud over the concluding stages, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Scuba Steve – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 106. Stewards spoke to Mr Leon Lacy after he lost control of the greyhound behind the boxes causing a significant delay to the start of the event. Mr Lacy was issued with a warning pursuant to GAR 81(1). Mr Lacy advised the Stewards that he now plans to retire the greyhound.

TRIAL 3:

Encrypted– Seizure – Solo, Distance: 300m, Weight: 34.0kg, Box 3,Time Run 18.47 – Comment: Not Cleared (Faltered) . Encrypted underwent a post-trial veterinary examination and was found to have left fore tendon injury - a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
