Steward's Report
The Stewards were advised that the track was lightly harrowed on 17 October 23.
Zanab Bale was slow to begin.
Zanab Bale contacted running rail first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Squiggle marred Betsie Bale in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg triceps injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed
Stewards spoke to representative Mr B. Stirling regarding Squiggle’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Squiggle was charged with marring. Representative Mr B. Stirling pleaded not guilty to the charge. Squiggle was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post -race sample was taken from Follow The Band the winner of the event.
