Tom Tom (checked by Man Of Action turning off the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury and spike wounds to both forelegs. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Torpedo Tuohy (racing manner) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Brodies Tiger underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hock, no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms Amber Manning regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Brodies Tiger was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Manning pleaded guilty to the charge. Brodies Tiger was stood down from racing at Ballarat and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Whisky Nip – Late scratching at 5.58pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to hamstring injuries on the left and right hindlegs. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards queried Trainer Ms A. Hemingway and owner Mr D. Petersen in relation to the circumstances surrounding the late scratching of Whisky Nip. After considering the matter, Stewards took no action.
