Steward's Report
Madalia Bella, Big Smoke Fox and Fly Chic were slow to begin.
Madalia Bella failed to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the third turn, collided with Big Smoke Fox and underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Trainer Mr. Peter McKenzie declined the option to have the greyhound re–examined. Stewards spoke to Mr. McKenzie regarding Madalia Bella's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Madalia Bella was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr McKenzie pleaded guilty to the charge. Madalia Bella was suspended for 28 days at Sandown Park and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
