Lamia Stud underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left hind paw - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Jason Portelli regarding the greyhound pulling up prior to the return gate and failing to enter the catching pen. After hearing evidence from Mr. Portelli, viewing the available race footage, and acting on their observations, Stewards issued a warning.

Mr. G. Mitchell requested an early race endorsement for Wild Reputation. Stewards approved the request after an examination prior to racing by the on–track veterinarian. Wild Reputation will compete in early races until further notice.

Pulse (turned head inwards and visibly eased turning off the back staright) underwent a post race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Kennel Representative Mr. David McKenzie denied the option to have the greyhound re-examined. Stewards spoke to Mr. McKenzie regarding Pulse’s racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Pulse was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. McKenzie pleaded guilty to the charge. Pulse was suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mumbo Alarm was slow to begin. 

Astute Queen (galloped on turning off the back straight and lost ground) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no injury reported.

Colden Mandella (tired over the concluding stages) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no injury reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr T. Britton regarding the greyhound's performance over the concluding stages. Mr Britton explained that Colden Mandella has had an interrupted preparation and did not run out the 460m distance again tonight. Mr Britton added that the greyhound is out graded at the 400m distance and he would be looking to move the greyhound on from his kennel.
