Let's Go Pies and Miss Blaze were quick to begin. Edric Vosper was slow to begin.
Miss Blaze raced ungenerously on the home turn and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Ms. Tina Womann regarding the racing manners of Miss Blaze on the home turn. After hearing submissions from Ms. Womann, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.
