You Done – Late scratching at 2.08pm due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. David Burnett, was fined $100.
Aussie Bronze, Nando Commando and Go Gizmo Go were quick to begin. Yankee Blood was slow to begin.
Midnight Crisis marred Aussie Bronze approaching the home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Craig Treherne regarding Midnight Crisis’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Midnight Crisis was charged with marring. Mr. Treherne pled guilty to the charge. Midnight Crisis was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
