Steward's Report
Blitz was slow to begin.
Black Spectre raced wide from the 200m mark onwards.
Fireworks raced ungenerously approaching the 250m mark and the 200m mark, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left tensor fascia lata muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Adam Richardson regarding the racing manners of Fireworks. After hearing submissions from Mr Richardson, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
Grand Stride faltered approaching the winning post and lost ground, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right long head triceps and right quadriceps. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Heather Blast faltered approaching the 50m mark, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg deltoid injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
