Steward's Report
Groundsman was slow to begin.
Turbulent raced wide soon after the start, was severely checked, faltered and subsequently tailed off. Turbulent underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left long head triceps and left sartorius muscles. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr James Van de Maat regarding Turbulent's overall performance in the event. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr. Van de Maat to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Turbulent in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
A post-race sample was taken from Ultimate Tszyu - the winner of the event.
