The start was delayed by approximately one minute due to holding for a Goulburn harness race.
Vitnell Bale was quick to begin. My Girl Abby and Great Value were slow to begin.
Secret Racer which commenced to lose ground on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race sample was taken from Vitnell Bale – the winner of the event.
