Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was taken from Sweaty Hand.
Daintree Lad, All To Mac and Big City Nights were slow to begin.
Confer underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 10. Confer was found to have left hindleg hip injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Mark Giddings regarding Confer’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Confer was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr Giddings pled guilty to the charge, Confer was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
