Cool Summer, Southern Sister, Into The Coffee and Cinderella Story were slow to begin.
Southern Sister contacted the running rail in the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg torn nail. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Hustle Nina, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right hind leg abrasion. A 0 day stand down period was imposed.Stewards spoke to Ms Bianca Clark regarding the racing manners of Hustle Nina soon after the start. After hearing submissions from Ms Clark, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
Into The Coffee, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right stifle. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Garry McMillan regarding Into The Coffee’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Into The Coffee was charged with marring. Mr McMillan pled guilty to the charge, Into The Coffee was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Mt View Sublime, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg shin soreness injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Trevor Whitford regarding Mt. View Sublime’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Mt View Sublime was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Whitford pled guilty to the charge, Mt View Sublime was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
