Mr Colin Baker failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Lektra Dish for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 97(2).
Stewards issued a warning pursuant to GAR 81(1) to Mr Garry McMillan, after the greyhound Devil's Spirit escaped the handler enroute to the start, prior to the running of this race. The greyhound was vetted and passed fit to race..After hearing submissions from Mr McMillan, a warning was issued in accordance with GAR 81(1).
She's Roses was quick to begin. Dr.Earnie was slow to begin.
Dr. Earnie, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg toe injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Jennifer Gill regarding Dr. Earnie’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Dr. Earnie was charged with marring. Ms Gill pled not guilty to the charge, Dr. Earnie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
