Mr Stephen Tabb was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Distal pursuant to GAR 88.
Lothbrok Girl was quick to begin. Saint Max was very slow to begin (4L).
Chasing Her Tail lost ground on the home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Distal turned its head inwards on the home turn and collided with Lothbrok Girl, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race eight, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Mr Mathew Tabb, the representative of Distal regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Distal was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Tabb pleaded guilty to the charge, Distal was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
