A pre race sample was taken from Redding.
Firecette and Freckle's Way were slow to begin. Cette For Speed and Redding were very slow to begin, 3 lengths. Firecette and Jaraig Pitstop collided approaching the second turn checking Jaraig Pitstop. Firecette galloped on the heels of College Queen on the second turn severely checking Cette For Speed, Redding, College Queen and Firecette. College Queen and Firecette stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result.
College Queen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness in the left tricep and left pencil muscle. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
