Super Laney was slow to begin. I'm So Dizzy was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Montane, I've Got Spirit and High Success collided soon after the start, checking I've Got Spirit and Foxy Flyer. Super Laney and Foxy Flyer collided approaching the home turn, checking Super Laney and I'm So Dizzy. High Success cramped in the home straight. Montane and Foxy Flyer collided in the home straight, checking Montane and severely checking Foxy Flyer.
High Success was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained mild dehydration and cramping after the race, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr M. Cauchi, the trainer of the greyhound High Success. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
