Regal Gladiator was quick to begin. Regal Gladiator crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Gimme Butterflys and Going Cosmic. Zabriskie and He's Schmick collided soon after the start. Zabriskie checked off Going Cosmic soon after the start. Regal Gladiator and He's Schmick collided on the first turn, checking He's Schmick. Gimme Butterflys and Regal Gladiator collided approaching the home turn. Zabriskie faltered approaching the home turn and tailed off.
Zabriskie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a grade 2 tear to the left bicep muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
