Aston Archer, Hula and Splash Mountain collided approaching the first turn, checking Hula. Aston Archer, Cash Is Coming and Mi Diablo collided on the first turn, checking Hula, Blast Away and Flynnie, and severely checking Cash Is Coming. Blast Away eased in the home straight.

Cash Is Coming was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Robins, the trainer of the greyhound Blast Away. Blast Away was vetted and revetted following event three.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder, a five day stand down period was imposed.
