Meeting Comments:
Tuesday, 28 February 2023 - Stewards finalised an adjourned inquiry with Ms. Maria Barber from the Traralgon Greyhound Racing Club Meeting held on Wednesday, 22 February 2023. The subject of the inquiry involved Ms. Barber's conduct toward the On-Track Veterinarian and conduct in the kennel building during kennelling. Ms. Barber pleaded not guilty to a charge of GAR 165(a) in that she engaged in conduct that was detrimental and/or prejudicial to the image and control of greyhound racing. Stewards found Ms. Barber guilty as charged and imposed a penalty of $500.00, with $250.00 suspended for a period of 24 months pending no similar offences or further breaches of the relevant rule.

Turbulent raced wide throughout.
Bow Now lost considerable ground approaching the 100m mark, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triceps muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Millie - the winner of the event.
