Mr Adrian Smit was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Cold Beers pursuant to GAR 88.
Cailah's Pistol was slow to begin.
Aeroplane Astro turned its head to the outside approaching the 150m mark, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following event 5. Aeroplane Astro was found to have a right front stopper injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Taylor Thornton regarding Aeroplane Astro’s racing manners approaching the 150m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Aeroplane Astro was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Thornton pled guilty to the charge, Aeroplane Astro was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Cailah's Pistol – the winner of the event.
