Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Uriana Bale on 26 September 2022 pursuant to GAR 139.
Fabs Max Potato was slow to begin.
Uriana Bale visibly eased and pulled up in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have sore right gracilis muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Alfio Giacca, the trainer regarding Uriana Bale’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Uriana Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Giacca pled guilty to the charge, Uriana Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
