Steward's Report
Not So Expensive was slow to begin.
Roxy Fudge marred River Matt approaching the finishing line, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have shin soreness, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Thomas Dailly regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the finishing line. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Roxy Fudge was charged with marring. Mr. T. Dailly pled guilty to the charge, Roxy Fudge was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Nick Britton (with Ms Angela Langton) regarding the difficulty in boxing Tabasco Lad in this event. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 106 (2) on Tabasco Lad, with Stewards monitoring future starts.
