Little Yaala and Joliet Bale were quick to begin.
Langfield Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination. It was reported the grewyhound sustained injuries to the right triangle muscle and right pectineus/adductor, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Joliet Bale - winner of the event.

Geelong Friday 16 September Race 9.
Kennel representative Ms D. Coleman presented Quimby Bale and Alvarez Bale and their treatment records following an inquiry into the scratchings of those greyhounds from the event. The scratching reasons for the greyhounds were affirmed.
