Gerry's Commando, Go Go Danni and Slipaway Bert were slow to begin. Gerry's Commando and Zou Zou Nee collided soon after the start, checking Zou Zou Nee and severely checking Gerry's Commando. Go Go Danni and Kiria Lason collided at the 200m mark.
