Knight Kingdom galloped on the heels of Baby Brodie on the first turn checking Knight Kingdom and Stressful. Avatar Girl and High Step collided on the first turn checking High Step and Anna Rose. Lynlaw Ted crossed to the rail approaching the home turn checking Lynlaw Alex. Lynlaw Alex and Baby Brodie collided approaching the home turn severely checking Baby Brodie and causing Stressful to race wide. Lynlaw Alex and Stressful raced wide in the home straight. 

Baby Brodie was vetted following the event. It was reported that  the greyhound sustained an injury to the right quadriceps. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Ricochet Jessy and Lektra Pebbles were slow to begin. Bold Caper went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.

Bold Caper crossed to the outside approaching the first turn checking Fearful Amy and severely checking All Inn Murch and Le Zippy. All Inn Murch and Le Zippy collided on the first turn checking Le Zippy. Bold Caper and Feaful Amy collided approaching the home turn checking Fearful Amy, Lektra Pebbles and Ricochet Jessy. Le Zippy checked off Fearful Amy entering the home straight. 

Claretown Clyde, Claretown Bert and Golden Panther were slow to begin.

Mahogany Spirit, Athletica and Arrow Head were slow to begin.

Tina Two crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Cooly Queen and Vapour King. Cooly Queen and Athletica collided on the second turn. Athletica eased in the home straight and collided with Frank's Gun checking Frank's Gun.

Frank's Gun was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right and left hamstring. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Camilleri, the trainer of the greyhound Athletica. Athletica was vetted and revetted following race 8. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both hamstrings, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Athletica with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Why Not Oscar was slow to begin.

Jack's Legend was slow to begin.

Shanlyn Lucy, Sundaram, Silver's Sister, Avatar Ranger and Jack's Legend collided approaching the first turn checking Shanlyn Lucy, Sundaram, Silver's Sister and Avatar Ranger. Stinga Power, Thyme For Bed and Avatar Millie collided approaching the first turn checking Thyme For Bed and severely checking Stinga Power. Sundaram checked off Silver's Sister on the first turn. Sundaram contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. Shanlyn Lucy checked off Thyme For Bed in the home straight. Shanlyn Lucy checked off Avatar Ranger in the home straight. 

Sundaram was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both triceps, both hamstrings and the right quadriceps. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Aqua Lamont was quick to begin.

Aqua Lamont crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Ottantotto. Classy Tulip, Lynlaw Zane and Violet Desire collided approaching the first turn checking Lynlaw Zane. Ottantotto and Turanza Magic collided on the first turn checking Ottantotto. Violet Desire checked off Classy Tulip on the home turn checking Turanza Magic. Lipstick Stain and No Bounty collided in the home straight. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Tait, trainer of Violet Desire and fined Mr. Tait  $300 for his failure to retrieve the greyhound by the alloted time (GAR 46). 

Mr. P. McColl, trainer of Kuklinski redeclared a new weight of 33.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Kuklinski last raced at 31.9kgs. 

How Time Fly's, Knocka Less and Optimiste collided soon after the start checking Knocka Less. Kuklinski checked off How Time Fly's approaching the first turn. Eddy Goes Bang checked off Chad's Nitro on the first turn checking Kuklinski. Knocka Less checked off Jack's Prince on the first turn checking Eddy Goes Bang. 

Fat Garry was a late scratching at 5:00p.m. on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

True Genius was slow to begin.

True Genius checked off Jockey's Well soon after the start. True Genius, Sunnymead, Fos Newman and Jockey's Well collided on the first turn checking Sunnymead, Fos Newman, Jockey's Well and Bells Hustler. True Genius and Norma's Moment collided on the first turn checking Norma's Moment. Bells Hustler, Jockey's Well and Norma's Moment collided in the home straight.

Norma's Moment was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hamstring. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. C. Fox regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Relent.  Stewards directed that Relent be boxed first in future events.

Stewards reminded Matthew Marshall of his responsibilities regarding leaving the course during the meeting.

Three Card Trick trialled over the 390m from box 1, weight 28.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.66, the greyhound was beaten by  a margin of 1.5 lengths. Three Card Trick was Cleared.
