North Ontario was slow to begin. Burst A Move crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Lioness Lulu, Kuklinski and Highfield Roco. Botanic Phil checked off Burst A Move on the first turn. Kuklinski clipped the heels of Highfield Roco approaching the home turn. Allen Firestorm and Lioness Lulu collided approaching the home turn. Allen Firestorm checked off Botanic Phil approaching the home turn. Highfield Roco checked off Lioness Lulu in the home straight, checking Kuklinski and severely checking Highfield Roco.

North Ontario was vetted and after being revetted following event 4, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured stopper bone, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Highfield Roco was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
