Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from In The Flesh.
In The Flesh, Bella Broccoli and Hot Blooded were slow to begin. Hot Blooded crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Kathy's Queen, Daggy's Gift and Bella Broccoli. Hot Blooded and Explosive Lass collided approaching the home turn checking Explosive Lass. Daggy's Gift and Bella Broccoli collided on the home turn. Hot Blooded eased in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Trevor Allen the trainer of the greyhound Hot Blooded. Hot Blooded was vetted and after being re-vetted 30 minutes later, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left chest muscle and left triangle muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Hot Blooded with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury and directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Meeting comments:-
A routine sample was taken from Hi Laddie after the greyhound attended for a re-vet. Hi Laddie was cleared to race. (Updated 20/8/14)
