Steward's Report
Dyna Nihilist was a late scratching at 1:20pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Sage Bale was quick to begin. Allen Warlock and Bally Abbie collided soon after the start. Fuzzy Buzzy anbd Droopy's Bentley collided approaching the first turn checking Fuzzy Buzzy. Bally Abbie and Fuzzy Buzzy collided on the first turn, on the second turn and again entering the back straight checking Bally Abbie.
Bally Abbie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to it's right hind leg. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Cooper, the handler of the greyhound Bally Abbie. Stewards deemed the performance of Bally Abbie unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Bally Abbie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
