Steward's Report
Arejay Smokey and Bekim Hatrick collided approaching the first turn checking Arejay Smokey. Five Am Riser and Bekim Hatrick collided on the first turn. Claretown Westy checked off Liara Allen on the first turn checking Five Am Riser and Galloping Rocky. Arejay Smokey and Bekim Hatrick collided on the second turn. Galloping Rocky crossed to the rail on the second turn checking Arejay Smokey, Bekim Hatrick and Five Am Riser, Five Am Riser tailed off.
Five Am Riser was vetted following the event and revetted following race 8. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left triceps and a spike wound to the left hind paw. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Bruce the trainer of the greyhound Five Am Riser. Stewards deemed the performance of Five Am Riser unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Five Am Riser must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A sample was taken from Claretown Westy - winner of the event.
